Abstract
he purpose of this study is to determine the Improvement of Port Services at Batu Guluk Port, and the constraints that become an inhibiting factor in improving sea transportation services at Batu Guluk port, Kangean Islands, Arjasa District. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, data sources can be obtained through primary and secondary data sources. The sources of information in this study were key informants, namely 1 head of Sapeken UPP, 1 head of Port UPTD, and 125 island community respondents who used sea transportation. Analysis of the data used in this research is to use a descriptive analysis method by describing the nature and condition of the research subjects or by analyzing data by describing the data of respondents with the informants that have been collected. Based on the results of the study found by researchers, it can be concluded that the port services at Batu Guluk port are incomplete in accordance with the existing service standards, in terms of safety services for evacuation routes, emergency telephone numbers, wheelchairs, and unavailability of health workers at the port. Of the security services that have not been met is the unavailability of CCTV, no. Call for complaint. From the aspect of comfort services in Batu Guluk Harbor, there are already available waiting castings, toilets, prayer rooms, lighting lamps, and temperature regulators, while the unfulfilled areas are smoking areas. From the standard of ease / affordability information boards have been installed related to the ship’s schedule but its nature is still visual, while the audio form is not yet available.
